Sea Kayaking

IWLS sea kayaking courses explore some of the most remote and scenic waterways in the world! Based in Southeast Alaska, students will enjoy the pristine waters of our glacially carved fjord. From passing humpback whales to paddling below stunning mountains and glaciers that rise straight off the ocean, IWLS sea kayaking courses capture the essence of these wild and remote places.

Our sea kayaking expedition lesson plans incorporate American Canoe Association and International Wilderness Leadership School curriculum. Upon completion of our sea kayaking courses, participants will have a solid skills foundation and be eligible to receive certifications. Sea kayaking expeditions can be combined with any of our other leadership and guide training courses for a semester of university credit!
